Shimano Inc., the Company
Shimano Incorporated was first founded in the early 1920s. It started the business as producer and manufacturer of bicycle components and was formerly known as Shimano Iron Works. Today, it is the world's largest manufacturer and innovator of bicycle parts, sport fishing equipment, and even diversified into the production of other sports equipment like golf and snowboarding.
