what bait is better shad or chicken liver?
or are the dragon flies the best bait out of all of them?and also can i catch a bass with shad or only catfish? and how long should i leave the bait in the water and will it make any diffrence if its on the bottom of the lake or on top with a floter?
Shad are probably the better bait. If you fish a piece of dead shad on the bottom catfish will eat it. I wouldn't bother with a float. Leave the bait on the bottom for about 30 minutes. If nothing bites, pick it up and move it 20-30 feet away.
Bass are predatory fish and bite better on moving targets like live shiners or artificial lures.
