Trailer Light Harness On 99 Ford Ranger Help!?
I Have a 1999 Ford Ranger And I Was Going To Put Trailer Lights On It so I FOund The Harness On The Bottom Of The Truck And I Went to AutoZone and Baught The Hook up well It Had 2 Ends A Male And A Female End On It And THe Truck Has A Female End On It So I Hooked It Up and Didnt Get Any Lights So I Looked Around On The Right Side For The Other End And There Was No Other End But
If I Nigger Rig Light That One Plug On THe Left Side Will Control all The Lights [Turn Signals Tail Lights, Running Lights, Brake Lights]
What Should I Do
Any Suggestions On Where The Other End Might Be
The reason you have a male and a female end is you are going to break into the wiring harness. What that means is, you are looking at the wrong connector to start. The first thing you need to do is look at the instructions first. Find the proper wire by following the wires back from a tail light socket. Then separating the harness at a male/female connector and plug the adapter between the two. That's why you have a male and a female end. I'm sure they fit into each other nicely. First find the right part of the harness then plug it in. Otherwise you have the wrong adapter.
