What kind of line should be used in a Bantam B Mag 1000?
It's my first try at a bait-caster.
Are you fishing for Striped Bass? I just did a quick search on the Bantam B Mag 1000 and found a guy on a Striped Bass Fishing forum selling one. If fishing for Striped Bass, use some heavy line, but any line will work.
Line is more of a personal preference than everyone thinks the same. The standard of all Fishing Line is monofilament. It has for years, so as a new bait Cast Reel owner, i would start off with a simple, but effective monofilament fishing line.
Well, what brand do you recommend? Tell you the truth, I've Never Fished for/caught/seen a striped bass in my life. But i have payed much attention to them while watching TV. Look like it would take a solid 20 lb. line to take them.
But my favorite line for bigger fish would be Berkley Big Game. Why? It's cheap, it works, it has enough strength to haul in big fish. Here's the link to it on BassPro.com -
